Another Loss As Champions League Hopes Hang By A Thread
Two late goals in an otherwise competent performance have again cost us the game, this time away at Bayer Leverkusen.
This loss means that our Champions League destiny is reliant on getting a result against Valencia in the final match.
With eight points from five games we now need to beat Valencia or because of the head to head rule draw in a game with no more than two goals (0-0 or 1-1).
This is more than achievable however great improvement is needed, now is a frustrating time to be a Chelsea fan.
We again played well today, but were again sunk by poor defending when it matters, this is simply not acceptable for a club with our ambitions.
We need to add some solidity or I fear that those without patience will be deafening in their complaints about Andre Villas Boas.
In AVB we trust (but you are testing our faith)

Still Weird Watching Michael Ballack Play For Opposition
Michael Ballack will be playing against Chelsea tonight at the heart of the Leverkusen midfield.
Even though it was the right time for him to leave, I still mis Ballack and it is weird watching him play for someone else.
Despite a mixed time at the Bridge he still got a positive reception by Chelsea fans on his return in September.
I have some fond memories of him in Blue and hope that he has a quiet game tonight.
The last time I saw Michael Ballack play for Chelsea, I was sat in the nosebleed seats at Wembley at the FA Cup Final as Chelsea won the double for the first time in our history.
Contract wrangles and mixed messaged also meant this was his last game for Chelsea and a mixed spell at Stamford Bridge saw him win trophies but ultimately fail to deliver on his pre Chelsea reputation on the pitch.
However despite this I liked him as a player, he had an air of authority and I am sure that he can still deliver a quality performance if motivated.
Let’s hope he has a quiet night!

Chelsea Players FIFA 12 Tournament – Lukaku Wins
Have you ever wondered which Chelsea player would be the best at the new FIFA 12 game?
Well EA sports rounded up six of our young players for a special tournament, which featured mainly younger players such as Josh McEachran and Romelu Lukaku.
Flamboyant David Luiz was also there and despite his youth was the older statesman.
