Your Preferred Line Up v Liverpool?

Tonight is the Carling Cup quarter final against Liverpool and I am hoping that we can put in a solid performance tonight to qualify for the semi finals and move a step closer to Wembley.
Both sides are expected to name relatively strong sides with only one or two developmental players entering the mix.
From a Chelsea perspective I hope to see fringe youth players such as Oriol Romeu, Romelu Lukaku and Josh McEachran getting some game time with the introduction of Ryan Bertrand also encouraged.
I would like to see the following team
Turnbull – (Last chance saloon for Ross)
Boswinga (he is well rested)
Ivanovic (Played instead of Terry to rest JT)
Alex (time to see more of the Brazillian)
Bertrand (to rest Ashley Cole)
Lampard (rested on Saturday with this game in mind)
Mikel (he is rested and a decent squad option)
Romeu (He has impressed so far this season)
Kalou (a chance to rotate the squad and rest Sturridge)
Torres (He needs game time)
Malouda (solid option in squad rotation)
The actual team will be known around 7pm so I will be interested to see how close my desired team is to what AVB chooses.
Who would you play tonight?

Chelsea Week Ahead – Liverpool & Newcastle
Another busy week for ahead as we face a Carling Cup game against Liverpool and a tricky trip to Newcastle in the league.
Chelsea v Liverpool

With Kenny Dalglish threatening to field a development squad and AVB likely to field a strong team, a victory and a minor revenge will be the expectation of most fans.
I would like to see AVB give Oriol Romeu, Ryan Bertrand starts and Josh McEachran some game time in an otherwise strong squad.
Kick Off – Tuesday 19:45pm
Newcastle v Chelsea

Newcastle have had a great start to the season and currently lie above Chelsea in the Premier League, they held Manchester United at Old Trafford and the Magpies will be a tough nut to crack at St James Park (I will never call it by the new name).
Kick Off - Saturday 12.45pm

Game Summary v Wolves
Finally we have a convincing win for everyone to focus on.
Ok so we would expect to beat Wolves at home every time we face them but with recent form it was enjoyable to see us win convincingly once more.
We saw some interesting selections from AVB with Frank Lampard being rested and Fernando Torres starting from the bench as once again Didier Drogba was favoured.
Despite one or two nervous moments we were defensively strong and able to keep a clean sheet as the team controlled the game for large periods
In midfield we saw the impressive Oriol Romeu making his first Premier League start since joining from Barcelona. The youngster looked calm and at home in the heart of our midfield that hummed and kept Wolves under control for most of the match.
Upfront it was the Juan Mata show with the Spaniard clocking up a goal and two assists to earn the man of the match award.
Overall a comfortable day at the office for the team, yet victory is unlikely to keep AVB out of the firing line for very long.
We have some tough tests coming upin the next few weeks.
Between now and Christmas we will be in action in three competitions and a strong showing will be needed if we are to harbour any ambitions in any of them.
Summary:
Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic (Boswinga 77), Terry, Luiz, Cole, Romeu, Ramires, Meireles (Lampard 70), Mata, Drogba (Torres 77), Sturridge
Goals: Terry, Sturridge Mata

Juan Mata – Man of the Match Against Wolverhampton
Today AVB stopped the rot with a 3-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers courtesy of a glittering performance from Juan Mata.
He provided the corner for the opener from goal machine John Terry and the cross for Daniel Sturridge to convert from close range to make it two.
Finally he completed a fantastic first half performance by switching from provider to goal scorer with a clever strike on the stroke of half time.
With a goal and two assists he was at the heart of everything we did well today and the only real candidate for the man of the match award.
He is continuing to prove that he was a fantastic signing, as he puts in good performance after good performance.
With Manchester United being held by Newcastle today has been a good day for Juan Mata and the under fire AVB.
