Who Should Chelsea Buy in the Jan 2011 Transfer Window?
With the new squad rules and summer departures, the Chelsea squad has looked very fragile at times this season as our form has dropped. Do Chelsea need to strengthen if we are to recover our early dominant start to the season and compete with Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City in 2011?

Why Chelsea FC Should Back Carlo Ancelotti
After more than a month of poor results and our worst run in over ten years some impatience fans have started to question about Carlo Ancelotti and his suitability as manager of the club.
If you are in one of those people here are some points that should be considered.
But prior to all that I have some key points to make in case you have forgotten, Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most successful and experienced managers in the game.
Last season he led us to
- He led Chelsea to the league and cup double for the first time in our history.
- Our biggest ever top flight victory
- To scoring the most goals ever scored by any club in one season
- Only second overseas manager to win the league in his first season (after Jose Mourinho)
Football is a team game.
Its the normal fan tendency to blame the manager when result are not in the favor of the team you support. But by doing so people forget that football is team game and players, manager and all the technical staff is jointly responsible for the performance of the club.
Let it be a win, lose or a draw, managers do not get the appreciation they deserve when the team is winning as the plaudits fall to the key players.
I am not blaming the fans for this but they should also remember that when team wins it wins with the same players as when it loses. So pointing your finger only to the manager is not the sign of a balanced fan (if you ask me)
Every team suffers poor form.
No great team in the world will always be having the good time after time, every now and then bad time comes. I agree that this time our bad run has prolonged but it also happens. Its part and parcel of the game. You will never stay on top nor you will always hit the bottom. and that’s why this game is interesting.
Editors Note: This was written before Chelsea beat Bolton hopefully this will put us back on the right track

Is Performance Against Tottenham A Sign of Chelsea Revival
By Tayo Adetunji
Chelsea’s match at White Hart Lane on Sunday was satisfying to an extent. I would say the performance was an improvement to the other matches we have played during this period of our slump.
There are a lots of positive that could be drawn from the match- forget the fact that we should have actually won the game in injury time. There was pre-match debate on how the high-flying welsh, Gareth Bale will be too much for our old and rusty right back Paulo Ferreira, but the former Portuguese international held his own against the winger.
Ramires, the regular scape goat of the under-performing Chelsea side, played arguably one of his best games in the Chelsea shirt. Captain fantastic, John Terry was at his marshaling best once again…to cap everything up super Frank Lampard is back after 3 and a half months of injury.
So what went wrong again?
We conceded early once more just like the games against, Birmingham and Newcastle it is not easy to overcome a goal deficit.
Some players do not seem do care about the poor form
Players like Michael Essien, Mikel, Anelka, Kalou were not playing like players who were concerned about our recent form.
One would have thought that somebody like Essien will have the hunger to be at his imperious best after his rallying call last week. Instead Essien was the flop of the match. and in an unusual way he was outshone by out of favour Ramires in the Heart of the Chelsea midfield.
Mikel, Anelka and Kalou were passengers on the pitch on Sunday. Kalou should have scored after wasting chances.
That Drogba penalty
I really don’t want to talk about Didier Drogba…but i’m still gutted at the fact that he was the hero at one point in the match and he messed everything up by failing to convert that penalty in the dying minutes of that match.
I think the revival of the team from this slump we found ourselves in is ongoing.
Chelsea just need improve more on this game, both in attack and defence (our attack in the first half was awful) If all the players can work hard I know we can get all 6 points from the next 2 games and put an end to all talk of a slump.

Five Reasons For A Chelsea Fan To Smile In This Slump
Ok so the last few weeks have been pretty difficult to watch for Chelsea fans , particularly for those who have become overly used to our success in the last ten years. The form may be relegation form but I do have five reasons why CFC fans should still have a smile on their face this morning.
